IWC Ingenieur 40

Acquired this one yesterday! The dial is hard to photograph coming out blue sometimes.

Congratulations. Went to the boutique few months ago in Amsterdam, ready to buy. Left very dissapointed as I could not get the bracelet to fit.

Stop making brand new expensive watches without a micro-adjustment..

Happy to see you could make it work though, wear it in good health!

I agree. Or another easy thing would be to include 1-2 half links on the standard bracelet.

There is a micro adjust clasp available. It’s $400. Yes, it should come in the watch by default, but in the grand scheme it’s not that much.

there is no point in buying an integrated sports watch if the clasp doesn't match the rest of the bracelet. That's why they call that ''integrated'', not just the bracelet to the case but the whole way around your wrist. Does not look good imo, you sacrifice look for function, I don't think it is worth the trade off when it comes to luxury.

I get your point, but I think an ill fitting watch looks bad, feels bad. When form and function conflict, I get right of way to function.

I fully agree and I think IWC dropped the ball a bit. If they wanted to have an integrated bracelet with adjustable clasp, then they should have followed the Vacheron Overseas model where the clasp extends slightly on both sides, so it retains the elegant form and still has micro-adjustment features (here's a video demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EfQBA4Uy6M).

Omega has a similar system in the new aqua terra bracelet and both are superior to the IWC retro-fitted solution which looks pretty clumsy and out of place in an otherwise well designed watch. So close, yet so far.
