I find my DD’s to be much more robust doing “day to day activities” than my RO’s, which are much less forgiving with all the case/bracelet angles and brushed surfaces. Wrist presence for both is comparable, IMO.
FWIW: I go through long periods of daily driving my YG DD….once it’s out of the safe I wear it everywhere….its just an easy watch to wear. I saw your post above saying you wouldn’t necessarily daily the DD, but it sure is capable in that capacity providing your comfort level allows. That RG Olive looks great on your wrist/skin tone - it’s a beautiful watch. I find I wear mine as more of a “special occasion” piece, mostly because the color combo just seems more “elegant” to me, and less of a contender for a daily/“day to day activities” option - but that’s just me. I would tend to agree with “add” opinion; RO + DD makes a nice 1-2 punch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Another vote for the WG Olive.
I think it would look good with your skin tone and is more versatile. From poolside to wedding, jeans to black tie. Let us know what you decide. |

Weirdly I think the DD is a better all rounder. Such a great looking classic watch!

Rose gold olive is my vote. I love white gold too but I think the rose gold goes so well the olive in this case

Currently the AP, a blue dial 41 DJ and will add either a Santos or Santos-Dumont to wear as a daily at my day job.
A little update, decided to go with the WG olive. Having owned the RG olive before, I must've let go of it for a reason. I feel the WG metal is more versatile and suitable for my personal style and goals with a PM watch. Will hopefully have some pics for you guys next week |

I have DD40’s in every hold, including the WG/Olive nice but the best is YG, white numerals
classic! They are the best rolex imho.

Some DD’s are more under the radar than others. This can do daily service.

What is the consensus for pale skin color - WG or RG? I feel like its WG (and I'm with others re the Olive dials).

I like Platinum over WG
Sure I realize its a bit more but to me its worth it. I have a YG DD 40 which I wear at least once a week but don't daily as YG just stands out more than WG or Plat. The olive dial is nice but I already have the romans on my DD40 (YG white dial). If they had the WG in olive with sticks Id have a hard time deciding but as they don't Im leaning towards Plat Ice Blue with either sticks or baguettes. The baguettes blend very well with the Ice Blue and aren't as flashy as on a black dial (which still is stunning!)

I own the new silver baton dial but in YG. I have contemplated getting a WG DD but the two dials I love are the silver baguette dial, hardly ever see one on TRF forum or For Sale section. Second favorite would be the black baguette dial. Not a fan of the olive dial nor roman numerals.
