How would you just the condition of this 16710 Pepsi?

It’s a Z serial, so 2007. Matching bracelet code. Crown on clasp is strong and raised, bezel is sharp. My only concern is the lugs. The watch has definitely been refinished in the past, but not too many times based on the clasp. How do the lugs look? I know the chamfers became smaller and smaller over the years, particularly by this reference.

Maybe post this in the vintage section and if you post the asking price you’ll get feedback on if it’s worth it or not

I could, but I wouldn’t call it vintage really and I do already own it. I’m deciding if it’s worth fixing up the lugs to return the chamfers.

It looks fine to me for a preowned watch and I wouldn’t be bothered to do anything to it.

I’d leave it alone. I think it looks pretty good.

Looks a little soft. If it bugs you, trade it for an unpolished watch. I traded my 14060M and 16570 for unpolished watches and now I'm happy.

That’s my feeling. A little soft, but no where near destroyed. It’s a 2007, figure 1-2 services since purchase, including polish. The lugs are symmetrical and do generally retain their shape.

Are there documents for this Pepsi? If there are no documents, it may well not be a Pepsi. That's the first thing. Of course they were polished, that's two.

So much depends on the photos. The edges might be a little soft or not. I think it looks really good, overall, and any issues are not discernable at normal viewing distance. The crown on the clasp looks sharp and that's hard to resurrect.

It’s an LN and I have the bezel inserts. Watch is a keeper for me so it doesn’t matter to me!

Agreed. Can always fix up lugs. Cannot fix the crown on clasp.

I'd try not to be annoyed by any "softness," real or perceived. Great looking watch that's a keeper for you. Whenever it comes due for a service, you can always do something then. Life's too short and whatever is there, or not, is only going to be known by you and a handful of us who read your post. Enjoy your beautiful watch.

Documents should always matter! You need to make sure of its provenance. Remember, one of our members just lost his watch, after sending it to RSC for service, because it was on the Rolex stolen watch registry. He had bought it at a so called reputable dealer.

Depends - not always the case. If you buy a pre owned Rolex without provenance from an authorized dealer, you know that they ran the serial through a database. Ditto if you’ve ever had the watch worked on by an authorized dealer or Rolex service center, even if it wasn’t for a service. For example, I’ve had watches without papers brought to rsc for things like links and bezels. If a watch was stolen or had an issue, I would have known there and then. Plus they take your name and info, creating a link between yourself and the watch. Not all pre owned dealers are created equal. Papers can be faked or stolen as well.

Good pre-owned condition here. Polished a few times (not overly so imho).

I'd leave it. Doesn't appear to be any deep gouges so not worth any restoration.

I wasn’t sure if you were kidding or not. I’m sure you’ve seen enough of these to know. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that watch. It looks like it was serviced and refinished by RSC.
Like to see the width of the Crown side lug vs non-crown from the top: 12 o’clock looking lengthwise toward six o’clock lugs

Thus, it is better to service it with a third-party watchmaker or get insides from Rolex before sending for official AD service.

NB. After our discussion in another thread, I made some check and it appeared possible to get some insider info through some ADs. This will not work in EU countries and US, but realistic in some others.

Watch looks great, i wouldn’t touch it especially if you plan to wear it. Chamfers are still present to my eye based on those photos.
