ARRRRRRRGH Seems every other post is the "now". I'm sure that these are only an aberration, not the normal wearer or simply spoofing for a chuckle.

Watches are meant to be worn and enjoyed not wrapped in plastic so they don't get a scratch

I can confidently say, my Rolex gmt is still used for aviation and has experienced 6+ G’s.

I wonder if Sean Connery ever asked if it’s safe to wear his watch overseas

I wonder if James Bond behind the scenes asked if it’s safe to wear his Rolexes or Omegas while on his missions

I have watches I don’t care about beating up - and watches I do.
I know this picture is a joke but the people on the top row didn’t actually pay for their watches. I would be a lot less inclined to give a toss if I didn’t pay for it |

I’m old school, I’ve always worn my Rolex and other “nice” watches for whatever I’m doing. My OPs have become my defacto mountainbiking watches but my Daytona and BLRO have also been along for many adventures and experiences. Why buy them if you’re not going to use them?

I was actually advised by my SA (who's a great guy, BTW) that the 19 years of abuse I've put my 14060M sub through was excessive. Nonetheless it still looks essentially perfect unless you examine it through a loupe or magnification. To this day I still wear it when doing rough work of all types.

007 used them to get rid of those pesky zippers on a woman’s dress? Thanks Q
Oh! that bond! So enjoy them a scratch here or there is the real life patina or character marks. |
