Just left Vegas. Did see a lot of Rolex but I kind of like the watch spotting aspect. BTW, the Rolex on boutique in the forum shops had an Air King and couple of stainless DJ41s out for sale.

Like the watches, but don’t like what they represent to many.

Saw where a 49’ers player was shot in downtown San Francisco. A 17 year old was trying to take the player,s Rolex off his wrist. The bullet traveled clean and complete recovery is expected. The suspect was apprehended.

I’m not a Vegas guy, I’ve been, but not often … I’m wondering, if I ever go again, would I even wear a Rolex ???

Definitely not a gold one … maybe a Black Submariner, or a Black Daytona … something quasi under the radar ?

Hmmm ???

I normally wear a YG Rolex. I think this trip I have coming up in a week or so I will change it up and might do my AP ceramic diver.

I wouldn't have felt "turned off" if I were in a place where Rolexes were everywhere.

For one, if a bunch of people are wearing Rolex out and about then it tells me it's a safe place for me to wear my Rolex.

Additionally, widespread ownership of something tends to indicate value of that item. There has to be something that appeals to the people who own the item, be it quality, value, aesthetic, or something else. Very few rational people would shell out serious money for something if it's not a good value. So to me, Rolex's popularity is akin to a validation of the brand's value and I consider that a very good thing.

No matter how hard you try to shift your focus to other brands, there’s something about Rolex that always drags your attention back to it. Rolex is just way above the rest.

It’s as if he just realized how Rolexes aren’t rare.

The actual rare stuff, don’t see as much, online community doesn’t really like much (like rainbow gemset).

Interestingly enough, just went to a conference in Vegas. Typically I see a ton of subs. Not as many this time. Maybe sign of the times lol

just read all the comments. lol u guys are brutal.

to the OP, in my best Biden "C'mon man" voice, brother, you went to one of the flashiest places in the world where everyone wears their best and flexes. It's a gathering of wealth out there. Like someone else said, the experience would be the same in Dubai. You can't expect to be around an affluent crowd and not see Rolex, especially with all the social media hype.

I live out in the sticks, I see 1 Rolex per 100k people here, cause its a different world where I live compared to where I travel.

If you bought a Rolex to be "different", you bought the wrong time piece

Going to Vegas in a couple of months. I plan on wearing mine. And probably evoking visceral reactions coupled with some depravity.

I was in Hong Kong for 7 days last month. Watch spotting is unbelievable. I lost count. I even saw a Rainbow Daytona in the wild. I walked passed 6 Patek AD/boutiques, 3 AP boutiques, a dozen Rolex AD's, just around Central, Causeway Bay and TST. I wonder how much is fake, cause the subway ticket guy was wearing a Exp II. But the culture there is different than anywhere else in the world. Secretaries with meager salaries would not eat and save just so they can buy that hand bag. Most people don't own automobiles. Most don't flex with lavish destination travel. Watch Flex game is strong there.

"visceral disgust" that many others wear the same mass produced watch that you wear. Simply awesome.

There are much better reasons to avoid Vegas. I went once for a bachelor party and wouldn’t go back for free.

Same. I wasn't into Rolex for too long (maybe five years), but it's long gone now. I know what you mean OP. You're of course in Rolex territory here, so I'm sure you didn't expect a whole lot of sympathy.
