Could anyone that has the silkbound version kindly comment on whether the silk is noticeable and merits the increased price relative to buying from amazon etc

Also for anyone that ordered the silk version from wallpaper in the UK - how long did it take for delivery of the book?

Thanks

Yes correct. Add the 136660 production from 2022 of 27,025 to that. Total black and JC Deep Sea so far will be 115,596

No separation between normal and serti dials.

16613 black 106,815
16613 blue 296,784

Rolex will produce what it can from a model as long as there is demand. I doubt serti are rare.

Ordered on the 17th.
Recieved yesterday morning.

The silk binding is quite luxurious especially in combination with the depressed and precise nature of the printing
Very classy and well executed i might add

In response to Oryx earlier post, I ordered my copy directly from Wallpaper on Sunday, 22nd Sept and received it this morning, Tue 24th Sept.
The silk is noticeable and perhaps elevates the binding a bit above the 'normal' version, although having not seen or handled any other versions I'm basing this on standard hardcover bindings.
Either way, in my opinion, the book is worth it. I started reading mine as soon as it arrived, after scanning through it first, and am thoroughly enjoying it.

In reply to the earlier post about the silk version in the UK by Oryx, I ordered my silk version directly from Wallpaper on Sunday, 22nd Sept and received it via DHL Express this morning, Tue 24th Sept.
Is the silk noticeable, yes it is. Is it worth paying the extra over Amazon.co.uk price, I don't know as I haven't seen the 'normal' bound version. I originally ordered via Amazon.co.uk, but then decided that I wanted it quicker than some time in October, so cancelled my Amazon pre-order and went directly to Wallpaper.

Is the book worth it? In my opinion, yes it is. I started reading it as soon as I received it this morning, after scanning through it, and am thoroughly enjoying it.

Complete set, fully stickered

As mentioned previously by another member, the silk cover feels very nice and well executed.

Placed the right Submariner on the cover

Can't wait to read it!

Wow! I thought it would be more than that given the run it had.

Cheers.

Once the production numbers have been revealed, i can only laugh, AGAIN, when i remember comments like "Rolex watches are everywhere/everyone has a Submariner/felt visceral disgust at how many Rolex are out there".

So the only discussion of this book's contents so far seems to be listed production numbers. Anything else of interest between the covers?

I ordered mine from Wallpaperstore on the 16th and received mine on Monday. I’m in the US. They did a great job packaging the book too.

Yes, it's a really nice book, lots of nice photos, but I have only had the chance to scan quickly...... my main interest was to see if the triple 0 was mentioned/numbered/admitted. No dice for that, but I can't wait to read through, and would advise the book if you are a sub fan! Well worth price of entry, and a steal at that $83 dollar place (if that works out). I would buy again.

Yes, this has baffled me. If it's just a list of production numbers with ad photos, perhaps I should cancel my order.
