How do you clean your fluted bezel
After using a smooth cloth that I got to clean my eyeglasses with to go over each individual flute on my fluted bezel I got to wondering does anybody else do that. So how do you clean your fluted bezel, do you use a product like wrist clean, do you use soap and water or just take it in the shower with you and let it air dry. I sure hope nobody tries to use a ultrasonic cleaner. And do you make sure to go around the bezel where it fits up against the case to get all the dirt and such from that area what about where the bezel fits up against the crystal how do you clean all of that i suppose soap and water and a soft toothbrush would be the best way. What do you do?

Have you ever read this forum? You’ve got dudes who are scared to wear their watch without protective stickers, they’d have a heart attack at some bristles hitting their steel

So true, haha. I’ve always used a toothbrush and some washing up liquid/dish soap followed by a lens cleaning cloth to dry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Dear me, this thread reminds me that I haven´t given my old Submariner a good bath in some time Will do it at the weekend...washing-up liquid and an old toothbrush, as I´ve been doing for years.

I use a toothpick or snap a tine off a plastic fork folded inside some cape cod. With magnification I try to stay on the “bevel faces” only and avoid the peaks

I like to pre-soak all of my watches before brushing them with an ostrich feather duster.

When I had a Datejust it was dish soap with a nylon bristled toothbrush every couple of weeks--or at least once a month. Bracelet too.

What I used to do was
Soft toothbrush & baby shampoo I put mine in a bowl of warm water leave for 5mins Take one out, use johnson and johnson baby shampoo handwash the watch and then use a soft toothbrush to clean it. Rinse and leave in a another clean bowl of warm water and take it out and dry it with a microfibre cloth. I did this maybe three times per year, but since moving to Poland I just shower with the watch on and it comes out sparkling clean.. Tatra mountains water is the best, my wife's rings and watches all sparkle the same way when she showers in Poland.

I wear my fluted Wimbledon Datejust to the AD, and they always offer to clean it. I know they use steam, but that’s all I know.
