I replaced my 16610lv with a 116600, bought bnib in 2017 and kept in safe - unsticked in 2024!

Enjoy it! It’s the best modern SS Rolex Diver IMHO. The finer details it offers (such as the fully graduated bezel, the matte dial, the proportioned / non-boxy 116xxx case) make it that much more enjoyable to wear.

I joined the club in early July. I traded the 14060m in against the 116600 but for a brief shining moment I owned all three. And then there were two.

In truth, I missed the 14060m for about a week and then… nothing. The 116600 dominates my wrist time even at the expense of the Deepsea. Be careful, the SD4K is a collection killer.

I've decided I'm going to go after a 116600 while they're still somewhat possible to get. Any years to go for or avoid? Any condition items you'd watch for? Anyone know of any good ones for sale? Would like original unpolished; small wear is okay but clean overall. Need full links.

I hear ya. The 116600 was my second Rolex, but first “true love”. It’s a keeper.

In the new Submariner Rolex book, they state that the total production number for the 116600 was 27,102 which is significantly less that most other modern day Rolex, for example the Sub Date 116610LN at 414905 units.
