Not my cup of tea......but!

I've always leaned towards stainless steel watches. Bi-metal had never appealed to me.

But then.....

Yesterday I popped into my local AD to drop off a piece for service and on a whim thought I'd try on a 41mm Wimbledon bi-metal on jubilee bracelet with fluted bezel and it was love at first sight.

I'm sorely tempted to pull the trigger!!!

(I'm pretty sure this is a walk-out piece at the AD and they'd let me have it if I asked. I've got good innings with them too)

I’m 100% in agreement with your initial philosophy. Two tone watches do nothing for me.

I hated the Wimbledon dial - until I saw it IRL, & I had the same reaction as you!

It was on the same spec as your photo too.

Long story short, bought it as soon as I could. Not a daily wearer in that spec IMO, but on the right occasion it’s just awesome!

That watch is stunning. I couldn’t believe how great it looked until I tried it on. It’s the quintessential “Rolex” look with a touch more sportiness with the dial.

Let a few days pass before making a decision (If you think you can get it as a walk out).
The problem with Rolex these days is that the scarcity of available timepieces sometimes leads you to choose pieces you don't really want => El famoso FOMO effect.

By the way, there's nothing wrong with the TTs.
If you like it go!

My only problem is the Wimbeldon Dial (my wife has the 36 mm SS). It looks weird to me, unbalanced, as though the dial was a prototype. The main reason is the only luminous marker at 9 o'clock, opposite at 3 o'clock the big cyclops.

Perhaps taking a look at other configurations ( Date Just has a lot) will help you to be definitively sure if this one is your cup of tea.

Otherwise the watch looks fine, and sits very well on your wrist.

I personally like the watch with the WG bezel, don’t like the YG contrast. But that is just me.

The DJ is an easy one to love. I never expected to like my DJ as much as I do, but it’s genuinely just a great watch.

I personally like the SS version of any watch unless it’s a specific PM watch like the DD

Yes, I get it. I tried a TT DJ white dial at the AD, out of the blue. It looked surprinsingly nice on my wrist. I was there to see the TT SD43.

I like it and if you can get from your AD then do it. A fun watch.

Had that watch for a short bit…really striking in person. However, parted ways with it as I couldn’t see the time! Something about the hands on the dial blends in too much.

This is good advice. If by this weekend you still can’t stop thinking about it, go and pick it up.

I love that watch / combination … one of the best two tone Rolexes IMO.

I’m not a TT guy, but that one looks really nice. Many have offered good advice, which you were start to let it sit in your head for a few days before making the decision.

Good luck to you whatever you decide.
