The smaller size, brushed everything is so nice that it would be a perfect daily, way less flashy and way more discrete. But it just felt so delicate on my wrist to wear out, let alone daily. The hollow end links and bracelet, acrylic crystal, just build quality in general after wearing modern Rolex had me concerned. The idea and concept ended up being more alluring than the reality, but again just my opinion and take. There is really no more beautiful Daytona reference though.

If I could get a modern 6263, brushed everything, same smaller 36-37mm size, same dial, modern bracelet movement and clasp, I would be wire ready yesterday..

YMMV!!
That is so disappointing, thank you for raining on my parade haha. What size is your wrist? I don't mind the smaller case, I do fear your input of it feeling delicate, I have yet to handle one and sounds like I need to before purchasing. Did you cause any damage to it while you owned it?

Lol sorry bro, just sharing my experience as if it was reversed I sure would have appreciated the input prior to buying. My wrist is on the smaller side, 6.5 inches?

Yes for sure to handling one in person before buying, I didn't do that and just shot first asked questions later as I'm apt to do. Didn't cause any damage to it while I owned it, but again after dealing with Nautilus/Aqua/modern Rolex, the 4 digit reference just felt SO delicate (almost flimsy) I was even worried about wearing it and the bracelet falling apart or clasp coming undone somehow, and this was a mint condition pricey specific one

I can certainly see the allure of vintage, but after that foray I'm sticking with the new stuff for the build quality and relatively worry free ownership

Do the inner fins bother your wrist at all on the OF for daily use?

I'd love to know the answer to this too. I see mixed reviews with some saying it's supremely comfortable and others complaining that the inner fins dig into the wrist and leave marks.

The 126xxx has the glide lock. It’s a game changer you can get a perfect to near perfect fit. The 116xxx had the easy link. I could never get the perfect/ comfortable fit with that system. If you have the 126xxx you will absolutely find the most comfortable setting. I have a full gold with the easy link and the OF with glide lock. For a daily the OF with glide lock is the way to go.

I am a huge fan of the glide lock as well, but what about the rubber fins on the inside of the Oysterflex strap? Do those bother your wrist when wearing the watch for a whole day?

The glidock makes the clasp much bigger so it depends on your wrist size. I don't like the bulky buckle.
As for oysterflex the fins did bother me and I personally found regular oyster bracelet to be more comfortable.

Well can be a daily if it’s your only watch? Absolutely.

I think most here have more than one…
Also depends on what one has in a collection of course.

Have you tried the new 126xxx OF? The glidelock is not that much bigger then the easy link clasp. I find the fit much better than the 116xxx OF.

I don’t notice them at all. The way it’s designed it will probably leave marks as the fins are meant to hold up the watch head and allow air flow. And since the watch head is made of all gold it’s heavier. But I personally don’t notice them or think that they are uncomfortable. Yes they do leave little marks that go away after a few mins. No biggie.

I wore it all day long. No huge indentions. Just little marks but they will go away in a few minutes. Super comfortable. Hope this helps.
