Are people wearing the Blnr and putting the Blro in the safe?

I see way more BLNRs in the wild. And when I do see them they seem to be well worn. On the other hand I don’t see many ceramic BLROs in the wild. And on the rare occasion they are usually pristine. I wonder for those who have both wear the BLNR more and keep the BLRO for more special occasions or are safe queens.

The BLNR was introduced in 2013, and the BLRO in 2018. That might explain why there are more BLNRs in the wild and why they show more signs of wear.

The blnr is just way easier to get, and by a factor they ship more of it, so there are much more watches on the market.

I wear my BLNR all the time. I’ve only seen one BLRO out in the wild around my neck of the woods. But ironically, I’ve only seen one other BLNR, too. So I guess I don’t see either that much. I usually see Submariners, DayDates, and Datejusts around town or when I’m traveling.

Looks great. Do wear it any differently than you would any other watch, considering the massive premium? I personally wear all of my watches but I admit I’m careful with them by nature anyways.

I see more 5 digit gmts than 6 digit. Funny how watches that are supposed to be so massed produced they seem very rare in the sea of apple watches.

I have seen more LNs than either BLNR or BLRO. I kept my BLNR and moved my BLRO - just like the blue/black better.

^^ absolutely. I sold my BLRO after a month because of the color hue seemed to always clash. ThenBLNR just works better for my style and the color blue is stronger and brighter.
Remember the BLNR is THE first two color bezel Rolex ever produced and got the color hue right from the start. This year at Disney Resort for 2 weeks and I didn’t see another BLNR other than mine and that is a rich watch spotting zone for me every year. cheers:

Can't see the logic of keeping the Pepsi in safes, even if it gets discontinued next year which is a very slim chance, there were hundreds of thousands Pepsi produced by Rolex. What are these people expecting to get for their Pepsi. The market will be flooded by sellers.

Maybe, I doubt it though. I would say it has as much to do with the number of BLNR's out there from five more years of production and sales. I have both and one does not get more wear than the other.

That's me. I wear my 16750 almost every day, but have worn my BLRO maybe 5 times.

Reason: I see the 16750 as a true workhorse piece, it's thinner, lighter, more wearable, and far less valuable money-wise so I'm not afraid to scuff or scratch it at all. (Just got mine back from Rolliworks for a service, refresh and bracelet restoration in fact.)

My 6-digit is too large and flashy IMO. Terrified to scratch it, and don't really like wearing it anyway.

I also get regular compliments on my 5-digit; I have never gotten one on my six.

I would imagine many people who have both feel the same way I do, so the 5-digits go on all the adventures while the sixes sit in the safe.

The only BLRO that I’ve seen in the wild is a vintage one worn regularly by a cafe owner on my local beach.

I agree completely; I'm not fond of blue, but the blue on the BLNR is beautiful, and the blue on the BLRO sucks (more of a dull, purplish "blueberry" in my opinion.) The red is also a very dull bluish-red, and doesn't catch the eye in the least.

The reason people notice more BLNRs may well be because it's an attractive, eye-catching watch, while the BLRO is so dull it doesn't draw the eye. They look FAR better in well-lit photos than in real life.

If you want a Pepsi that catches people's eyes, 5-digit all the way.

I purchased my BLNR while waiting for a BLRO. When I owned both I always missed the BLRO while wearing the BLNR.
Hence, only own BLRO and wear it everywhere. Don't baby your watches.
