What a terrible response from Stern compared to the remarks FHB had with the code 11 |

The code has gotten an update nearly every year since release to make it an amazing watch that can stand next to the Royal Oak. I highly doubt Patek will iterate on the cubitus in any meaningful way.

Code will never be royal oak in near future but the potential is huge. The biggest problem with RO is that there are so many of them that Code is starting to be something different and really cool. Looking to biy first one myself, they just ended up in trap and inflated price idiotically, I mean 20+k for basic steel model but grey is viable option.

40k for an entry level 3-hand steel Cubitus makes the Code look like a bargain to me. |

I guess he's just saying explicitly he doesn't care about young people that can't afford it . Dude has a lot of confidence in his current customer base if he's on record making those kind of comments. That picture of him next to the comment could not be more perfect either. |

Has the CODE been slept on long enough by enthusiasts?

That picture reminds me of another Cubitus who looks a bit similar to TS in that pic: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cubitus We all thought (probably rightly so) FHB was a bit arrogant. This is another level though. Maybe in hindsight 20 years from now the Code will be seen as a truly innovative design, particularly compared to whatever TS in his dual role as boss and head designer came up with here. |

It's the fact that he's getting down in the sandbox like a little insecure, immature child. Something you wouldn't expect from a high end luxury brand and especially not the President of the brand. |

That doesn't make any sense. What is it other than price that makes something entry level? Entry level typically means price but otherwise can mean feature-basic and is therefore associated with lower price. There are other non-complicated pieces in the range and other non-PM pieces. If it's not price, what is it that is supposed to make it entry level? It's definitely not its broad casual design appeal...

none of this really matters anyway because they have divided the production now between Aqua, Naut and now the Cube so 1/3 1/3 1/3 so making the real desired pieces even harder to get.
Forcing scarcity and increasing the odds of grey market prices for the Aqua and Naut to stay strong FORCING people to take the journey, because pricing will remain high in the grey |
