FS: Cartier 18k Ceinture Auto XL | Rare 31mm | MK2 Paris Dial | Ref 17001

Launched in 1927 and re-released in 1970, this is the rarest iteration, the ever-elusive and difficult to find 31mm Cartier Ceinture XL Jumbo powered by an automatic movement nestled within its bubble back case and with a perfect Paris dial.

Different in design from Cartier’s usual aesthetic, the winding crown, usually a signature element that showcases Cartier’s blue sapphire cabochon, is flat here and is held within a slot in the watch bezel that Cartier called “remontoir imperdable” (captive winding).

We sold one last month, were flooded with requests so sourced and sold another two and here is the fourth in excellent condition and in the rarest iteration - all original, perfect Paris MK2 dial and unpolished. With prices for its elder brother, the Cristallor, now touching the stratosphere, we believe that this is one of the most investable Louis Cartier models at the moment.

CONDITION: Excellent
FEATURES: 18k gold, Solid Caseback, Original Cartier brown leather strap, Original gold Cartier Clasp, 31 mm x 31 mm case, Limited Production, Bubble back, Paris Dial
MOVEMENT: Rare Automatic Cartier Movement
REFERENCE: 17001

I am always open to trades and will pay cash for your vintage watches, notably Rolex, Cartier, Audemars Piguet or Patek Philippe.

I am an independent luxury watch collector and am not affiliated with any of the brands mentioned in this listing in any way.

My watches come from other collectors and various dealers around the world. All my watches are guaranteed authentic and I stand by their authenticity.
