5935A vs 5320G....

Anyone here choosing the rose opaline dial from the 5935A over the 5320G? Looking grey and only about 10k difference between them. The 5935A might appear a bit busy, but I do like the carbon motif texture and how the light changes when it hits it. Although I wonder if the stainless makes it feel too light. I haven't seen either of these in person, but was surprised how light the 5212 felt in person.

Although both 5935A and 5320G are stated as "rose-gilt opaline," their dial colors look quite different due to the difference in surface treatment of their dials.

The dial of 5320G looks darker from most angles due to its almost matt finish. It's similar to the "rose-gilt opaline" dials of 5172G and 5236P in this regard, so viewing videos of those models might give you an idea of its tonality.

Compared to those models, the central part of the 5935A looks brighter from broader angles due to its carbon embossed pattern catching the light. On top of that, sunburst finishing is applied to the city ring of the 5935A which gives a glaring effect.

It's all down to personal taste, but the dial of 5935A has a stronger pop than that of 5320G.

It is hard to say if you would feel the steel case of 5935A as being "too" light. In general, steel cases are less prone to scratches, and their lightness makes them easier to wear daily.

I love my 5320G! I've seen both and they're both nice. Keep in mind the size difference as well. The 5935A is 41mm and the 5320G is 40mm. Also, with the brown crocodile strap that the 5320G comes with, I feel like it's not as youthful as the 5935A. Unless of course, you get a different strap like I did!

I agree, don't really like the stock brown croc strap. Would definitely want to dress it down a bit like you did. The blue looks great. Even thought a light tan or grey suede could look amazing as well.

My thoughts are not exactly enabling but here goes...

While I very much like the 5320G dial layout I am not in love with the execution. Very retro, triple stepped lugs, syringe hands, not for me. I'd want a more timeless look such as 5236P if only it was smaller.

Also not a fan of the WT chrono combination - I'd either get a WT or a chrono. On 5935A specifically I don't like the carbon pattern and the black subdial ring ruins it for me as my eyes always get stuck there. I'd rather go 5230P WT which was one of few Patek home runs in the looks department lately. You might still be able to find it at AD. For a chrono I'd look at 5170P and the 5968A which may well be the best (Patek) sports chrono but is hard to get from AD.

I have to say the OG 5320G is such a stunning watch, and a strap monster, its on my wish list for 2025.

5320g is a lot of watch for the used market pricing. Although I find the cream dial works much better on this reference for me.

5935a is for me. I love the depth and texture to the dial. The texture especially makes it change quite a bit in different lighting and angles.

I'm a chrono guy and I do business in many different timezones so this works very well for me.

In my ideal world but only because I have other perpetual calendars chronographs and other date complication Pateks

5935a suits me before the 5320 due to my other watches

If I wasn’t waiting for a cloisonne enamel world time I probably would be looking at the Pt world time.
