How are "banned" members still able to post?

I'm curious, I'm seeing people post who have "Banned" under their user name. On every other forum I've been a member of, banned members have their accounts disabled and they can no longer post. Is that not the case here? What are these members banned from doing if not posting?

Not a complaint--just perplexed.

Members cannot post after they have been banned (or while banned if it's temporary). Any posts made by banned members that you're seeing were made before they were banned.

Ok. Interesting. This person must have just been banned because they were posting a few hours ago.
