A Great review as everyone has already stated.

I have had my new SD for a few weeks now and can't help feeling that this is the one I will die wearing.

Congrats and it looks great!

FYI, sd43 is best worn slightly looser than other Rolex watches. Very comfy like that
If too tight, it may leave a sore spot on top of ur wrist, so I hear. Ymmv
Use that micro adjustment clasp whenever and wherever

The dial cannot differ, with another treatment or finish!

I would say that it is simply our human perception, depending on brightness, reflections or viewing angles.
Often I don't see that it's matte, but it's not that it's not.

In any case, it's an incredible watch.
Much more character, male hormones and assets than a Sub that we meet more often.
I really liked this review, highlighting all of this. Well done.

I was chatting with a good watch buddy of mine and told him I'm at a stage in my collection that if I want to buy another watch, I'll have to sell one... .
He suggested the SD43 (which he doesn't like - he has the 116600).
I replied with a, no-can-do-brah, I love the SD43! I have three Rolex divers and if I had to sell 2/3, I'm pretty certain I'd keep the SD43 - it checks all the boxes for me

I own several SDs spanning all vintages including a SD43 and 2-tone SD43. My dream watch would be a BLUE 2-tone SD43 which would basically be an adult-size version of my Bluesy Sub.
