Genuine Jubilee Bracelet?

Hi all. I posted this question and pic in General Discussion. I hope I'm not breaking any rules about multiple posting, but I'm thinking I might get some help here in the Vintage forum.

Hello Everyone! My first post as a new member and I had a question about this Jubilee bracelet.

I've seen the other threads here that discussed Jubilee bracelets, but looking at this one I can't decide if it's genuine Rolex, or not.

I've included a pic of the clasp and markings. It's a steel bracelet with the end pieces marked 555.

One thing I noticed is that it says Registered, but does not have the word Patented & Registered.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all

Hi Paul, Welcome to TRF....

IMHO that looks OK, I have a 1983 Datejust 16030 with a jubilee and it uses the 555 end pieces. I don't have it with me at the moment so cannot check on the actual text. I am sure others will add more.

Hi Paul, Welcome EH........

IMHO this looks like it could be a fake. All clasps will have a letter and number stamped above the steelinox. This will be the year as a letter and month as a number. This one in your picture shows just a letter.

555 would be correct end pieces. Here is a comparison picture from an H claps I had a while back. Notice they are night and day different. Mine is 100% original. Yours has a double coronet. There was much talk of these double coronet clasps before and the verdict is there are real ones and fakes.

Michael, Brian and Nikos, thank you guys for all your help and the warm welcome!

The seller has been very helpful in answering my questions, but I still feel leery about this bracelet, even the price--$275US--seems cheap for a good condition Jubilee.

I don't know the rules regarding posting auction links, but I've included the link to "that" auction site so you can see the bracelet:

I think I'll pass this one over and keep my 1601 on a strap until I can buy a Jubilee from Rolex Canada. Any idea what the current price is for the steel Jubilee from Rolex?

Thank you all again for your help.
