Ommie's gone...richer by 3 grand!!

Hi guys,

Ommie went off this afternoon.... and I'm now richer by 3 Kiwi Gs.

The guy who wanted it seemed in a bit of a hurry so I let it go before he could change his bloody mind. He had the cash ready so that's it!!

JJ Can't make up my mind whether to laugh or cry!!!

Oh no. You sold that beautiful orange colored masterpiece?

How could you do that?

I'm devastated.

Oh woe is me. What am I going to do now? I won't be able to see any new pictures of that gorgeous beauty.

How was that? Did I sound sincere?

No, Jim, no more Omegas for me. I'm reverting back to a "Rolex ONLY" collection.

Thanks anyway.

JJ, don't limit yourself. Why not look at the JLC Master Compressor. It can go on a strap or bracelet, has cool complications and is all in-house. Seriously, have a look.

Thanks, Johnny, but I have seen one at Watches of Switzerland as well as at Mansor's. It's just not me....find them too delicate.

Remember, I love and admire most high-end brands. I even have a greater collection of books and manuals on other brands rather than Rolex or Omega; but in the end, I'm afraid, I shall look no other way except Rolex in my collection.

Cheers - JJ

Too delicate? Odd words coming from a guy who absolutely babies his watches.

I'll bet the MC is just as tough as your YM. But hey, you did have an orange abomination... so 'nuff said.

Mamas, you have now had the full-on JJ experience.

Glad you enjoyed the show. Betcha can't wait for the next one.

Note to Ed and Rev: Can we have a running counter on the top right of the forum to count how many watches JJ has bought and sold, and a count down to 2007?

I think before JJ buys another watch he should put it to us for approval. That way he won't get his leg pulled as much. Another solution would be if he didn't post as many pictures of it. (Don't tell him but I think he's a great guy.)

Well, Mamas, I did like it, but I got an offer which I thought best to accept given that Omegas do depreciate very fast. I would never get 3,000 bucks ever again....so I let it go.

Now at least I have enough for the new black Exp-II which I shall pick up soon.....hopefully. Biggest problem is that Zemina knows NOTHING about what's been going on since yesterday.

I thought the exact same thing, you are the most careful of anyone I have ever seen JJ, you could wear a PP Calatrava if you wanted, you would not hurt it.

That's not a way to start off a marriage, pal. Keeping secrets from your spouse?

Don't you think she'll figure something's up when she doesn't see that shiny orange pumpkin anymore and in its place she sees a black dial beauty? Zemina impresses me as being one smart lady. I'll bet she can put 2 and 2 together faster than you can sell another watch.
