Tech Help - Rolex Cellini

I have a Rolex Cellini built in 2000. I bought it used with all the papers. I wear it only to work five days a week. It is super thin with a leather band. Once a year it stops working. The company I bought it from stated that the Rolex certified technician said that if it gets bumped, banged or dropped, it could cause the watch to stop. It might get bumped but definitely not dropped. It surprises me that a watch of this caliber has this problem. Does this sound normal to you for a Rolex to experience this issue?

It does not sound right to me either. Take it to Rolex authorized dealers and let them take a look at it. It might need some service/lubrication etc.

Bumping it should not be a problem. It has a thin wind up movement if it's mechanical which I think it is. If it is quartz then once a year the battery needs to be changed maybe that's why it's stopping. I serviced a mechanical Cellini last week nice movement the last one i did is still running rom 5 years ago, Have done many inbetween all still going. Rik
