I was wondering about the seal on the case-back of my Sub Date SS V- series. I had a local authorized Rolex service tech take the case-back off my watch so I could see the inside of the watch. A few weeks later I noticed it was pulling hair from my wrist on the crown side of the case-back. There is a gap on that side but hardly any on the other side is this normal. He said he pressure tested it after opening. Is this a normal thing and I am being paranoid. Hope he did not cross thread it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hairpulling is not good!!

Back again and have him tighten the case back!!

Virtually impossible to crossthread the caseback of a steel Rolex case. They are supposed to be torqued to 5 newton meters. I torque the screws on my carbon fiber street bike to the same torque, with a special Ritchey brand tool. It nearly breaks my hand to get it that tight. It couldnt hurt to open, and retighten, but crossthreading is a nonissue.

5 Newton Meters is 44 inch pounds.....

...... That's pretty much just snugged up tight........

It may pass a basic pressure test without being torqued, but that doesn't mean it is on tight.........
