Rolex and Celebrities

One thing I find myself doing a lot is 'Watchspotting' on TV and in movies... It's a lot of fun, and there are listings elsewhere on the net about Rolex on TV and Film... I'm sure many of you may have already seen this link at oysterinfo, but if you have not, well, enjoy! Particularly amusing are the pics of Fidel and Che Guevarra with their matching Subbies... Gives new meaning to the term 'Viva la Revolucion'! (you need a reliable timepiece in the jungles of Bolivia)

Great link, thanks for sharing!

I didn't realize that Tim Allen wore a Daytona in Galaxy Quest!

In US magazine, Nicky Hilton's ex boyfriend wore a white face Daytona.

Fidel Castro wearing a Rolex? Rolex is the quintessential poster of the capitalist. A Poljot, yes. But a Rolex? Very, very interesting. What was the message that the (young) Castro wanted to convey?

Y'know... I was surprised how many of those celebrity shots featured Daytonas, esp. the SS variety... It would seem the Daytona is the 'IT' watch of the moment, especailly given their comparitive scarcity... I'll have one with the black dial, please...
