Pics of the Pepsi twins

my photo skills leave a little to be desired, but here are finally some pics of my new additions...the one with the block dial is the controversial Z that has been at the center of MANY threads...both are Z's and both have the 3186 movement. Oh, and the DD is another new addition. I traded my TT sub and my RR DJ en route to this trio. I am at peace with my Rolex situation.

Yes, its a long story, but basically, I let the doubters out here get to me about my early Z and its authenticity...that in turn pushed me to have it inspected by an AD and send it to Rolex, both checked out. In the mean time, I came across a deal on a Z9xxxxx that I could not pass up. So courtesy of a few posters out here, both of my boys will someday have 16710s!

What am I missing? I don't see the "block dial"? But then again, I'm not a GMT expert.

my pictures are not very good, so it is tough to see, but basically, the 16710 had three (at least) dial variations...
GMT MASTER ll-stick dial
GMT MASTER II-roman numeral dial
a third variation that I cannot make with my keyboard, but the roman numerals make more of a block than a pair of romans...I am sure someone will post some pics here now that it has come up.

One of my old 3186s. I think I called it a box dial. It would be interesting to see if any of my GMTs floated back to TRF...

I am waiting for a ceramic version

Yes, the old GMTs are classic Rolexes and will go down in history as classics as well. I was lucky enough as well to obtain an M-series with the 3186 movement from a collector a few weeks back. I personally prefer the coke bezel more as its a little more subdued. And I absolutely love it. Mine has the rectangular (block) dial as some may call it. Here's mine:
