Icon20 Panerai 292 or daytona ss

What would you go for if you have an option to get either daytona ss or panerai 292 l non pig dial.

Very tough choice.

Something that looks totally different: 292

Something classic and iconic: Daytona SS (black for me)

When you walk around, people in the know will appreciate BOTH watches. People in the not-know will appreciate the 292 for the look it has and the presence it has on your wrist but will not have heard of the Panerai brand while they would have heard of the Rolex brand.

Tough choice.

SS Daytona for me. If you were talking 233 or 275--then Panerai but not for 292 IMHO.

Tough choice. I love the classic look of the Daytona, but have always had a hard time wearing my Daytonas (afraid to scratch them). Yet, I will wear my Panerai daily with no fear. Don't know, it's some type of personal mental block! I guess I'd go for the PAM.

I've owned both before and the 292 was expendable to me. They say you can't scratch it because it is ceramic, but I worried all the time when I wore it.

I've had my Daytona for a week now, and I definitely appreciate it more that I did the 292.

Either way, both are stunning watches and I am sure you will be happy with whichever you end up choosing.

I have a feeling you like the 292 better.

The pam292 is particularly nicer than the Daytona. Had you mentioned say a pam111 or 112 I would have selected the Daytona but the pam292 is just nicer.
