What may cause this action
My friend and I brought our Rolex's into work when we first got them a few years back. A fellow worker asked if he could see them with his hands. During the handling of each watch he managed to drop each of them. Is this a deliberate act on his part based on envy or is it coincidence?

I dunno... did you hand 'em both to him at the same time?
Did he apologize profusely? Did he laugh and point at you guys? It might be a good idea to work on your story telling skills. I dunno if I'd a shot 'im... when a good rapp to the snout might have been more appropriate.

It is also possible that he is a twat. It is possible that it was an accident. I'd go for the twat option.

To clarify the story.....He noticed mine and ask to see it.....while looking at it, it dropped from his hand. A couple days later he noticed my friend was wearing his......again he asked my friend if he could look at his Rolex, while looking at it, managed to slip from his hands once again.
I never seen him drop the watches he wears in the 3 years we worked together. |

Well, a little more rationally, I would suggest that the next time he asks to look at your watch, you show it to him on your wrist and don't take it off. He can admire it without handling it. That will keep everyone from getting upset.

If can't imagine someone (except myself) dropping my watch. Maybe it dropped because he was holding it too loose trying to be gentle. I can't imagine anyone doing something like that on purpose. Well, maybe I could think of someone but I would never give them my watch.

Ask to see his watch. If he refuses, his actions were deliberate.

Exactly, Brian.
The man is clearly a POS! In fact I'd add that he isn't a man in the first place.

It's unfortunate that assault is against the law, I would tear him a new A**!
Then go out to the parking lot and then commit a criminal mischief by dropping a 75 pound dumbbell on the hood of his Kia or what ever car he drives. Then say in the most condescending voice possible, I am so sorry, I did not mean to drop the dumbbell. Tongue and cheek of course. |

On a side note it makes me feel good to know I am not the only one who has to work with a few tossers.
