My fav AD does it again... also congrats SAM!!!

So a lurker of this board who is a very good friend of mine bought his Plat DD (ice blue dial) today from my AD and the transaction was perfect as usual. What was even funnier is that the owner was having lunch with the Rolex Rep today and he received a phone call from his salepeople confirming the sale (I put the watch on hold for my friend). the owner told the sales rep that lunch should be on them since he just sold a Plat DD and that that would mean he needs to order another one to have in his inventory and that Rolex just made another sale.

Congrats Sam!!!! and thanks to Frank D again for the great deal and service once again.

Hey guys, I walked in to the very same AD an hour after all this went down and ran in to the man Roger F who told me that his buddy Sam had just dropped some large $$$ on a solid Paltinum DD!
The owner Frank D seemd pretty happy with the sale as they only get 1 or 2 of these pieces a year...
Can't wait to see some pics of this rare beauty!

[QUOTE=RogerF;176010]So a lurker of this board who is a very good friend of mine bought his Plat DD (ice blue dial) today from my AD and the transaction was perfect as usual.

I'm starting to look around again.
Which AD in Toronto was it?
The one in Woodbridge, yorkville (RDV or LD) or the one in Etobicoke?
Just curious.....always good to buy from a recommended place.
I've bought from the one in Etobicoke (Tudor) but that is my only experience with Rolex AD's.

Now you're talking buddy! Let's get a dozen guys and go to Damiani's and have a shopping GTG... of course that may affect his insurance right?
Seriously though Prince Tudor I have been there several times and my GF bought her DJ there and they are no nonsense but very heplful and willing to give you a good deal if you are serious about buying. If you are lucky you may even be able to get a "Roger" price...

Guys,

Thanks for all your kind words. As a caution, stay away from Roger. He's extremely expensive to hang around with.

This is my second time buying from Damiani. They are the best in town. Great people to deal with. I was at the ET location before but the experience was not nearly as good. Roger is the man if you need to buy a Rolex. Don't go without him. Good luck.

Sam

Sam,

Welcome to TRF! Can't wait to see some pics of your new baby and seeing it in person perhaps at the next GTG?

Welcome to TRF Sam.
I don't think he can be more expensive to hang around with than my wife.
Can't wait to see some pics.
