Beautiful YachtMaster...

I was at an Autism fundraiser this Saturday and sat across a gentleman wearing an YM. We began talking how good and important having this fundraiser for Autism is and how many families cannot afford the extra care/schooling/training these kids desperately need.
It was a big success for the Autism event and I'm looking forward to next year again!

I notice him wearing an YM and he noticed my White Ex.II so we began talking about our watches. He said he’s had a solid gold Rolex and how easily it scratched due to its softness. He also said he’s had TT Rolex which he liked but also said they too scratched easily. With his new YM he says he’s the happiest because it can take a lot more without being scratched so easily.

When the sunlight hit his watch it “Sparkled” and reflected brilliantly like a spot light was on it. I attributed this to the Platinum bezel but wasn’t sure.

After the function was over I left admiring how the YM looks, somewhat understated yet its presence isn’t easily overlooked.

Any other opinions on the Yacht Master?

I've always said the plat YM is one of the most photogenic watches, never seen a duff pic yet.

On these forums the Yacht-master seems to be overshadowed by the Subs. I feel strongly attached to the Sub also, it's design is just so perfect.

However, for someone planning to invest in "just one more" Rolex, the Yacht-master has a different look, not seen quite as often. And I for one cannot see any way to take points away from it, for any reason.

How about some more opinions - ... Larry.

I got my TT Blue Yachtmaster as an addition to my SS Black Sub. I guess I wanted something a little different from the norm. When I was out at a function or in Vegas at a casino, it seemed that everyone was wearing a sub. The yachtmaster seems to be understated, but "blings" at the right time.....no pun intended!

I like the gold and TT versions of the YM, but for me, nothing beats the SS/Plat. Understated elegance at its' best. I love the way mine looks when the sunlight catches it too. I noticed it alot when I'm driving. Got to keep my eyes on the road. . .

So, are you gonna join the club?

I just can't get over the dial on it. If it were white, or black, I would own one already. When I try it on, it just doesn't smile at me.

Melissa,
can you post a pic of your TT / YM?
As far as joining the YM club I'm tempted and have a low threshold for pain.
Funny thing is I've "not" seen one worn other than at Sat.'s fundraiser.

Here's mine, but it's SS/Plat, not TT
