Can anyone help a TRF brother out?
Gang - I am looking for a U.S. AD who will sell me a new LV sub. I already struck out a couple of times (thanks for trying Freddy and Val by the way) but it was a no go. I am willing to pay retail and would prefer not to pay sales tax.
For now - I am fishing U.S. only (don't want to have to deal with customs, etc.). If anyone can help me out with a lead I would greatly appreciate it. PM me please. Thanks in advance! Steve K4S |

Try the below address. Bought a Sub LV from them and they shipped to me. No problems. Nice people to do bussiness with. I know Slim on this forum also got a watch from them, he is the one who recommended them to me.

Steve, I just sent you a PM. I was at my AD today and they have one. I bought mine from them as well and was very happy with the service.
If Steve does not get this watch and if anybody wants it PM me or respond here and I will turn anybody on to it. Steve has first dibs. Its in the display case though, so it may not be there for long. |

Tom,
Thanks again for your help. They chickened out. They indeed have one in stock but wouldn't sell it where they would have to ship the watch to Calif.. I know that other AD's fudge on that particular rule but these guys wouldn't stretch it. Thanks for trying. Steve |

Call this AD:
J.R. Dunn Jewelers 401 E Las Olas Blvd. Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301 954-463-1799 I was in the shop yesterday and they had one just waiting to be purchased. I kept these kinds of threads in mind so I made note that they had one in stock. ETA: Ask for Randy if you do call, he was the salesman I spoke with yesterday, great guy and cool to chat with. To my friends at TRF....
Many of you have been extremely helpful (particular thanks to Val, Freddy and Tom). The good news is that I think that I have one hooked but I don't want to jinx it until I have it on the boat. I plan to spell out my saga in a post next week Bottom line - there is a fever pitch on these right now. AD's are tripping all over themselves to try and get one for their "best" customers. In a few months this watch is going to rank right up there with the Daytona (although I doubt it will last as long as the SS Daytona craze). Greys can barely find them and when they do, they are typically the older models or dinged up a bit. More to follow.......if it doesn't work out I will let you know. Thanks again. p.s. If this does work out it will be because of the good hearted people on TRF! My deal is tied to you guys!!! |

Glad to hear that your search has panned out. You'll have that Sub LV in your hands in no time. As for the one I told you about, I wonder if it is still there? May have to go check tomorrow.
On a side note, do you really think that the LV will become as difficult to get and as desirable as the SS Daytona? I selfishly hope so as I have mine already. |
