Fake band on my new EXP II.. Ebay duh
Yes folks, I accidently bought that Explorer II.. from EBAY.. the band was one of those D12 deals.. haha.. I whipped out my Rolex Report.. sure enough.. felt sharp etc etc.
The seller instantly told me to send it back for a full refund.. and that he just worries about the watch being real.. I wanted to tell him if anything is fake then the watch is fake period! Anyway, I overpaid considering the condition, 3,000.00 for a black face.. Never again! I'll keep you posted if he gives me any trouble on the refund but he was very prompt and nice enough.. The interesting thing is that he said on the auction the watch crystal was clean... then on the phone told me it was scratched so he had to have his watch maker replace it.. When I told him the band was fake... he called his watch guy to confirm.. [I did not tell him the #s on it..] he called back and told me the real numbers.. heh... HmmmmmMmMm.. I'm sad :( On the positive side presuming I get my refund.. I've some extra coin I'd already discounted.. hahahaha... I know I know.. serves me right! Anyone else have similar adventures? Want to get a drink? Hahaha :X |

It's too bad that there are as many shady dealers on eBay as there are. Most are good people.

Good thing the seller was at least on the level enough to offer you the full refund. Takes a little bit of the sting out of it!

I cannot for the life of me figure out why people do not buy from TRF trusted sellers here. You do know that if a watch you want is not listed, you can just call one of the guys and they will get it for you. There is no need to gamble on Ebay. Hope the refund works out for you my man.

You got lucky, have you got your money back yet? Stick to sellers you can check references on.

I really hope you do, but must admit, I'm sceptical! Fingers crossed and let us know how you get on.

There you go, it is a scammer site.....
Submitted: Sunday, April 25, 2010 Posted: Sunday, April 25, 2010 This firm has two identical web sites with differing names (www.luxurywrist.net and www.watch-network.net) offering used Rolex watches for sale. They take only certified funds, no credit cards and provide no phone numbers. After taking the order and receiving the money (watches sell from $2000 to $20,000) they cut off contact and do not send the watch. Their web site remains active as does their bank account. The scam continues. Click Here to read other Ripoff Reports on http://www.ripoffreport.com/specialt...atch-497a6.htm |
