Pocket Atomic Clock

It would be great if one day Rolex would be able to release an atomic wrist watch. Until then at least I can get pocket atomic clock accuracy for my Rolex from my Pocket PC/GPS.

First I use a program called SynchroTime which is a freeware software program, download to my 128g mobile phone/pocket PC.
First I select which atomic clock server I wish to get my atomic clock information.

Next, I synchronise my phone/pocket PC from the server (requires internet connection)

From this I can then view the atomic clock time to set my Rolex.

Alternatively, my Pocket PC has a GPS receiver I can also use that to get atomic clock time from up to 20 satellites at one time. I use a program called GPS utilities.
First check that I have a stable satellite connection. 3 or more satellites will give me a 3D GPS position, but I only need 1 satellite to get the time.

Next I take a reading of the time which is being downloaded directly from the satellite/s which in the photo below is 6:09pm and 9 seconds

So until Rolex releases its atomic wrist watch, I guess I will just have to make do in setting my mechanical Rolex using the sources above

Steve, you do realise that they'll never let you on an airplane with a watch like that, don't you?

GPS are allowed on planes, but you just have to switch the PPC into flying mode (phone reception off)

I think you meant 128mb, not 128g though

No Monte, I meant 128 grams in weight. The device is a Dopod P800W, I'm very happy with its abilities and size.
I'd love to be able to operate a GPS during an airline flight, but I don't know that would be legal?

Nah, Ken, I was talking about an atomic watch, not about GPS.

How does Casio do it with their Waveceptor models that communicate with Atomic clocks? The watch can't know when it's in the air - do the radio signals to an from the watch not matter to a plane's instruments? I'm just bent because the attendants always wake me up to turn off my iPod. Stupid iPods, always causing problems.
