Thinking about buying a Cosmic
Hey all,
I'm thinking about buying a late 1960s Seamaster Cosmic. The case serial number is 166.026. And movement 565. Do you all have any advice? Or can you tell me anything about it? It's all gold plated - even the back. I'm either gonna get the Cosmic or a Seamaster De Ville. Thanks |

Hi Lancelf08!
A Cosmic is in my wish list since long ago. Unfortunately they are very, very rare here in my Country. As a matter of fact, never have seen one in person here! Anyway, I´m sure some of them reached this part of the world, and sooner or later, it will cross my road! I´m astonished to read the relative low prices it usually marks this model in the US market, considering it is an Omega, a triple calendar and Lunar phases complications. Also must be considered that not too many pieces were produced. An original watch, of this quality and features, around the 2 K to 3 K which has been talked here before, seems a bargain to me. I wish you can get yours soon, and you can share some pictures with us! Kind regards, Abel.

Thank you for your clarification Kyle!
I didn´t know the Cosmic version you show, and it is very possible this is the watch Lancelf is interested in. It is a nice watch indeed. I was referring of course, to the more classic watch, of which you showed some pictures in a previous post, with the complictions I had described above, and which I consider a beautiful watch and true classic. Thank you and kind regards, Abel.
