Bracelet Issues
Hello.
I have a Rolex Datejust Oyster Perpetual c. 1968 (belonged to my grandfather, passed away in the mid 80s), with an 18k gold bezel. It came with a riveted Jubilee band, that was in bad shape and way too small. My jeweler couldn't work with it, so I am currently using a more than adequate aftermarket brand. But as the Band was my grandfathers, and I feel that it really should be used, does anyone know where, if it all possible, to acquire more links to that band? I am sure a can find a jeweler who can attack them and fix it up, but I have had no luck finding them. My Jeweler looked at it, he told me that the rivets were such that there was no way to add or remove a link without breaking the rivets, at least with his equipments. |
