What size screwdriver to work on new GMT II bracelet?

I expect my 116713 this week. I don't have a watchmaker nearby and I was thinking of adjusting the band myself. What size are the screws on the links? Any reason if I mask the bracelet with tape that I can't remove/move links?

Not at all. The bracelet on sport Rolex watches are very easy to adjust, add, remove, switch around links.

The SD tool is ideal.

Mike is spot on, the SD tool is the correct size.

One mistake is to use a screwdriver that is too small. The SD tip looked too big (at about 1mm) when I first saw it but is the correct size. A new bracelet will probably have some white locking compound on the threads so be gentle but 'firm' when you are unscrewing and you wil be ok.

Hi Dave,

Here's a picture of the ideal screwdriver. Unfortunately, it comes only with the Sea-Dweller Rolex, but I think it can also be got off ebay.

Great tool for the sports line-up only though. The head is too big for the DJ bracelets....or even the lady Rollies.

As you would know, JJ, I got an SD tool set as an "extra" on top of the 10 % discount on the Sub Date SS that I bought recently.

Before tampering with the bracelet, WILL the screwdriver of the SD tool fit the Sub Date SS?

Yes, it will. That screwdriver is good for all the SPORTS Rollies ONLY.....too big for the Jubilee or any of the Ladies models.

Thanks, JJ.

I have three of those SD Tool Sets around now. Dunno why I asked for one, but my AD just wouldn't give me MORE than 10 % off my Sub Date, and I for my part just wanted more, so I came up with the idea to get an SD Tool Set on top of the deal
