Sounds expensive

way outta my league for a $500 Sub IMHO but you guys are talking about purchasing New from an AD I could get the same authentic watch for $2500 from a local pawnshop that sells genuine Rolex.

Interesting. I havent seen any Used Subs for less that $3500, and at that price they are often 10 to 20 years old.

....but I guess you're kidding.

That is a sweet deal! I might just be able to swing that new GMT then! Can't wait! Does anybody know if they have an AD in Okinawa Japan? That is where I am headed!
That is a good price. Call Rolex at 1-800-367-6539 before you leave the States. They should be able to tell you the names and phone numbers of any ADs in Okinawa.

Just as an indication ,my Sea-Dweller MSRP $6300,BUT at less 28% got it for $4400 BNIB from AD.The white Expl II I got for $ 4250.This means I would get a Sub/date in the region of $4300-4350,at the usual discount.

The new "flavour" of the month,ss GMT is in the region of $7350,with less 28% it would be @ around $5297.

BNIB,from AD @ substantial discount is ideal.

If you know an AD in Hong Kong, you'd probably get a good discount for your Rolex. But my friend said Singapore is a bit cheaper than Hong Kong. But at 430,000 yen, I would now think Japan has the cheapest prices in Asia.

If that is true it could be one of the only things in Japan that is cheap. I hope it is true as I may move back to Japan soon.

Seems like for recommended retail price the USA is the cheapest, however if the discount in some other countries is greater, that can possibly bring in a price cheaper than the USA (even after the discount in the USA).

SS Date Sub retail:

Prior to 1 July 2007 = USD4543
After 1 July 2007 = USD4785

Usually no discount given for this model. Grey market ones are slightly cheaper, but it depends on the supply situation.

Watches in Malaysia & Singapore are duty free.
