X2, I would NEVER make a purchase like this on Ebay... the biggest concern to look for in the watch you have above is the condition of the bracelet as this will be VERY, VERY expensive to replace if it is not in good condition... Just an FYI

Looks like it's sold now for 12k. I agree with the above - watch and seller may be great, but I'd be hesitant about a purchase like this from a seller with only 27 feedbacks as a seller in the last year.

Thanks fellas, I have tried everywhere to find this combo ( YG Blue Dial Diamonds) with no success. Ebay was my last resort. Everywhere I looked this combo was 16K +

Its alright to purchase from that auction site as long as you do your research and homework.

However, I would do as suggested here. Purchase instead from one of the popular sellers here for assurance and peace of mind.

I'd have to pass. Wouldn't buy on EBay unless it was from a known solid seller- which there are just not this one! Sorry...

If you PM me I can give you the name of a good grey dealer in NYC, so you can at least try one on, seeing as most ADs would not have a 20 year old watch in stock???

I bought my wg day date on ebay.
I worked out a deal with the seller to use escrow.com. He agreed, for no ebay/paypal fees had to be paid. I think the escrow fees were around 300 dolars, which we paid 50/50.
I got to inspect the watch for 1 day before the money was released to the seller.

:-).

Exactly. There are plenty of good sellers on eBay if you wish to go that route. Sometimes to find what you want you have to go to eBay but make sure the seller is a highly recommended seller when buying something of value. That said I have purchased 2 very expensive boats off of ebay with 0 issues but then again its hard to fake a 33 foot boat.

I would pass on this one as stated above. Email some of our sellers and they will find you one.

I see nothing wrong with the watch except an over inflated price on a A series watch.

If you are after that exact reference (18238) and dial, here is another:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/360395724806 (no affiliation)

It's listed at a higher price, but does look pretty clean. It also has a "make an offer" option, so there is likely some room for negotiation.
