RubberB on 16610

Thought I'd post a couple of pics of my sub with the RubberB, I know it's been done a few times already lately but I think it was because people kept posting pics that I wanted one! Like others have mentioned before $220 (plus $30 postage!) is a lot to fork out for two small pieces of rubber but I was nervous about changing the bracelet and thought if I was going to do it then it had to be something that looked factory original. Easy to fit, very comfortable on, the whole watch seems a lot lighter and (imho) looks great. The only reason I did it is for the last 11 years I've had this watch I have found for the duration of summer I get really sweaty under the bracelet and it leaves black marks no matter how often I clean it. Plus if you walk/jog/run the watch slides down your wrist no matter how tight it is and end up hitting the back of your hand which I find uncomfortable. Here's a few pics

I think it looks great. Rolex should sell a rubber strap for their subs.

i am interested, but curious how it works since i have a fairly small wrist, ~6 inches. i had a permanent link removed on the 6 o'clock side so the clasp would be centered. how long is the rubberb straps on the 6 o'clock side? thanks in advance. btw, the strap looks great!

Hi Roger,
I'm not sure how big my wrists are by measurement but the standard bracelet fits my wrist perfectly adjusted just two pin holes in on the clasp. I find the RubberB is just slightly off centre (slightly longer on the 6 o'clock side) but not too much it bothers me. I think if you google RubberB a website by Jake (I think) does a review of the strap fitted to his GMT11C and he mentions that they have developed a strap that is shorter on the 6o'clock side for people with smaller wrists. Just following on from my original post, after a couple weeks of wear the strap has softened and conformed really nicely to my wrist and is sensationally comfy, was expensive but really worth it. Everyone at work has been telling me how they love my "new" watch, gotta laugh that for seven years no one noticed it till I put a rubber strap on! Cheers Linz

thanks for the quick note. i read the review, and saw the shorter update of the strap from sheldon's website. however, the shorter/updated version of the strap is still long for it is 5 links + end link in length vs. i have 4 links + end link on my 6 o'clock side. i emailed rubber b to see if they have anything that would fit my need, so i am waiting to hear from them. again, thanks for your help.

I agree, it does look factory original, as for the price, you get what you pay for imo.

Looks like a must have for next summer.
