Hey Larry,

Looks great on the Chocolate - My Honey color will look like that in a few months :-)

What makes it match wonderfully on your watch is that you have the dark rings on the dial.

I love that there are so many dial variations and strap options to this watch. Makes each one a bit more unique to the owner.

The White RubberB does look good with that dial combo - not so much the Black. But Black would be nice with a black dial Daytona.

As for the gender-based comments, at the track I've noticed a swing towards white framed sunglasses and accessories among the European-based drivers. So think it's perhaps more of a market specific color preference.
I hear what you're saying about the OEM, and can understand why one would want to keep things 100% original. But for me, since I am not selling it, and the straps are disposable, I didn't feel the need to put $400 into an OEM strap that will loose 100% of it's value the day it goes on my wrist. Should I ever chose to sell it (which I won't), I would then put an OEM on it.

Actually, Wempe will even sell after market straps for these. I inquired about a white Croc band and they were going to have one made for me. So I think it's more an accessory to the watch, than an integral part.

Here's something funny, my honey strap after I completely soaked it in water (I was trying to get the stains out). It convinced me to buy the dark brown.
