Help identifying this Patek

Does anyone know what this model is, or what it is worth to buy? The back wouldn't latch shut. Has some scratches on the surface.

It is one of the not so rare Pateks made in China. The fact that it has chrono pushers and no chronograph should make it pretty obvious that its fake!

This is absolute nonsense! The subdials don't even try to act like they can actually show you something!

You guys rock! Thanks for identifying this for me!

That second picture exposes a jewel. Why do these guys go through so much trouble of doing that to a fake watch? Unless it is a cheap stone!! So that seller wants 1000 for this, no strap and the back wouldn't latch shut. Wow!

It's a synthetic ruby, they're found in every single mechanical watch movement (or almost) as well as in a lot of quartz movements. In fact, even the real Patek watches have those so it cannot help you at all in the process of authenticating a watch.

There's this pawn shop in Portsmouth NH. He posted on craigslist. Ok, never going to pawnshop for a used item. He wanted 1000 bucks for it.

As always, you must buy the buyer before the item.

Some Pawnshops can be good to deal with but clearly not this one, run away and never look at its ads again.

P.S.: Please allow me to give you a friendly advice and tell you that you will never (and I am willing to bet on this one)...ever...get an authentic and all original Patek Philippe under (at the very least) 4 000$ (and we would be talking about an old and very simple Calatrava in need of a service and perhaps a restoration that would cost you a lot), therefore you must never think about getting a timepiece that is supposed to have the sight of a complication (let alone a supposed to be perpetual calendar in this case) under 50k. Patek Philippe is one of the most well known and respected brands in the world of haute horlogerie, it should give you an idea of the price you should pay for one of their watches and it should be the very first thing you should look at in order to authenticate one of their models.

Thank you for the info! Yes apparently I do have some reading to do. I definitely can't spend more than 6G on a watch because if my wife finds out, I am dead. Well before all that, I'll need to teach myself a few things.

1k for PP = Mission impossible. The SS bracelet or the 18K clasp will cost more than that.

Should have been posted in the Watchout! section from the start. Also, with that budget a PP is not within reach.
