Breitling

Hi,

Firstly sorry for the what may appear to be a daft question.

How would I be able to identify a Breitling model ?

I mean like a Rolex you remove the bracelet and one end a serial number the other is the model number .

TIA

ps sorry to even ask !

The Model Number is Laser Etched on the Caseback, usually starting with the letter A is in a Rectangle Box.

This Rectangle Box is located under the Circle with the Winged B and 1884.

Under the Rectangle Box is the Serial Number also Laser Etched in smaller size numbers.

Hope this helps

Since I happen to be wearing a Breitling today, here is a shot I just took that will allow you to see what Kai is mentioning in his post.

Not all are in a box and not all start with an A. For example, mine is etched around the outer edge and starts with an E.
The Super Ocean and the Avenger Chrono that I used to have, had the model number in a rectangle, just like Kai said. I am pretty sure at least one of them started with an A.

Found a pic of my chrono avenger.

Here you can see the rectangle containing the model number. Since it is a Ti watch, the first letter is E again.
