Help me out...

I'm not yet a Rolex owner but am looking to get into your crazy world. I have looked around on the net and can't find any reference of a Submariner with red lettering that is certified to 1000ft/300m. I'm going to look at this one tomorrow morning.

Someone help me out?

Nor have I seen that. Maybe a custom dial?

Rolex never made the 300m diver with red "SUBMARINER".

Didn't think so. It's at a repo auction with no paperwork of course. I'm going to head down there just to check it out and probably laugh at how fake it is.

It's not an authentic dial.

I'd be careful with that one. Doesn't look right but it could be a custom dial. The only way to know is to open the back & check the movement.

Of Course you guys are all correct in saying the dial is not genuine, but I will go so far as to **guess** that the whole thing is a fake. Lugs and crown seem out of proportion, don't like the

Yep. Went and looked at it today. TERRIBLE. Crisis averted. I just feel bad for the guy that bid $300 and won... There was also a incredibly fake President and another tiny cyclopsed Sub. Those went for $475 and $330 (un)respectively. I even tried to help the bidders out by clearly proclaiming my thoughts on the authenticity. Fell on deaf ears I guess...

Here are the two others in jittery auction house lady pictures. How is selling these not illegal???

Glaceing at the initial Sub, it seems to look authentic, but when you look at the font and quality you can tell that it is fake. I remember going back to Thailand and my uncle handed me the same Submariner. He said can you tell the difference. After just touching it and not wanting her hurt his feelings, I said no. He told me it was a good quality fake, but I knew it was fake.

I wish I could have recorded how bad the bezel clacked. Sounded like tapping on a hollow metal tube.
