This thread is upsetting my stomach. These watches are incredibly valuable. My advise would be to quit "playing" with it and find someone with some knowledge of where to go next.

I believe you can assume at this point that it is authentic and like everyone has been saying, leave it alone. I know it is tempting. I wanted to open my bubbleback so bad but I didn't. It's getting serviced now as it started to run fast so I asked the watchmaker to take a photo of the mechanics when he is servicing it so I could have it for my records. Ask the watchmaster you take it to for photos but be careful. I would only use someone suggested on TRF. It's too valuable to let some local guy fool with it and possibly ruin it forever.

Great find. The watch is authentic which is highly evidenced by the poor condition. Although it is not in great shape, it does have considerable value the way it is.

I'm sure you'll have several offers come along from some of the members here.
