Any opinions on the 510...

Searching for a new Panerai...312....392 or maybe a 510. Anyone have one?

I would skip all three, but, if I had to choose among those three, I would take the 510 over the 392 and 312 because the 1950s case site too high on my wrist. If the case fits, though, it's pretty nice. 510 has the new (and therefore untested) 8-day movement (and "8 DAYS" written on the dial).

I would seriously consider a 111.

Case finishing just as good as any Panerai.
Now discontinued and value will hold/slightly increase.
6497 movement that is proven and "easily" serviceable.

I'd pick the 510. Great piece and I have already placed an order for one.

I've been trying to decide on the 000, 005, 111, and 177 for a long time...until the 510 came along. I like everything about it - good balance with four lines on the dial, in-house movement, huge PR, and a great looking strap. I was sold at first sight.

I have a 510 on order as my first Panerai. When I tried it on, the 510 did not sit as high as some of the other models i.e. 111. I like the strap, price, 8 Day reserve and in-house movement. That is why I chose it. Waiting now is the hardest part.....

Out of those 3, the 510. Good luck.
