hi all, ok so here goes
is it possible to get the classic 183 and put gold hands on it? or if you were offered a 190 but a little more than $10k would you take it or is it ridiculous? or is it possible to put gold hands on a 42mm radiomir? |

I don't know where you got it done, but when I called the panerai shop in Paris asking if i could buy a display caseback, the answer was more or less "if panerai wanted this model to have a display caseback it would have one, your watch is like it is because it needs to be" and basically on a tone that you can imagine, very arrogant, when i told her that it was a 82 shadow case watch, so without the engraving and that it basically wasn't made to be in the market, she didn't know what a shadow case was, and even after explaining she said no... Never will I buy any watch from them...

Thanks guys. These hands were sourced overseas and are from a 231. It took over a year to track them down and have them installed. It was expensive and a long wait but worth it in the end.

The tough part is getting the lume to match if you go with after-market hands.
I did not want to take any chances with an expensive (to me) watch like this. Just my .02

Agree 100%; Either it's "non-matching" on purpose (tribute to Pre-V) or it better match 100%. Anything else just ain't gonna cut it...
