Vintage Watch Shopping in NYC

Had some time to browse at a local shop at some of their vintage watches, these three Sports Rolexs really stood out to me, they are all not cheap, but definitely very special.

I threw in a Heuer in Steel, just really liked it and it wasn't crazy expensive

Beautiful watches!

Did you buy one?
Another store with nice vintage is Central Watch in one of the tunnels adjacent to Grand Central Station.

Couldn't agree more with the first statement. On the second: They are way too full of themselves for my taste.

You tried on my grail watch! I love the Oyster Chronograph. It's stunning! But out of curiosity, how much are they looking for? Not that I can remotely afford it, I am just curious…

No kidding. Last time I was in there, I felt unwelcomed. Apparently my Bond Seamaster wasn't good enough to warrant any semblance of friendly service.

Just did, a bit frightening, they have repaired quite a few watches for me over the years, I have sold a few on consignment there also, no bad experiences, their prices are a bit high, that's why I don't buy from them, although hearing about peoples bad experiences gives me pause

If my lottery numbers come up at the weekend, I will get on the first plane across the pond and go see them! Otherwise, I will need to live without that beautiful Oyster Chronograph…
