7836 Bracelet

Can anyone tell me by looking if this bracelet is genuine?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-70-S...vip=true&rt=nc

I won the item and just received it. No date code on the clasp and it feels a little" "light" for a Rolex bracelet. I've never owned a 7836, but have had 78360's and 93150's. Also for being about 40 years old, the crown on the clasp seems, "very proud." I figured it would show more wear for its age.

Thanks,

SMS

Like mine

I can't exactly tell you if yours is good or not but I can compare it to one that I have, that is unfortunately in need of a link or 2 to fit.

Yours looks pretty much the same and compared to my 93150 is noticeably lighter.

Mine has a 4 over 70 date on the first leaf that is connected to the clasp, not the one that has the steelinox and registered information.

Mine also has the 282 end pieces instead of 382 but that wouldn't mean anything.

Hope this is of some help.

ps. don't let this influence your decision about the authenticity, it's just my observation and I'm only somewhat expert on the things I own not other examples. I'm sure people who have more experience in looking at the details will come along.

One last observation

Before shutting down I noticed one more thing. My bracelet is only marked with the 7836 in one place and that is the same link as yours.

I thought that perhaps my missing link was taken from that side but perhaps they are only marked on one side?

Looks good to me; I have 2 of them and yours is spot on. Just like the C+I and the 9315 bracelets, the 7836's are totally light weight compared to the newer solid ones.

Be safe.

I have a 7836 that came on my 1655 EX (1971-72). No date marking either.
That's a good price that you paid for it . Looks to be in excellent condition. Jed sold one over the VRF for $1000 + USD not too long ago.

Not having a date code happens - I've seen it on various models in the past.

Thank You everyone, that's a relief. I now have to find an extra link to help fit my almost 8 inch wrist.
