At least part of it goes to charity

Well here is a new take on it. Take a look at these two. At least "if" this is a fake part of your money goes to charity:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Mens-Two-Tone-Ro...QQcmdZViewItem

Same seller:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Mens-Two-Tone-Ro...QQcmdZViewItem

Notice the two pictures of the second ad are of different watches. The first picture is of a real Rolex, with the tape protection. The second has the goofy shrink wrap around the bracelet.

Question - what models of Daytonas will have the "240" marking at the bezel's 3'oclock as horizontal vs vertical? I'm getting very confused now.
P.S. These pictures are from a very large grey seller and they should be legit.

On the first one there is engraving on the back. Is that possible on a real one?

Rolex does not engrave the caseback with logos, hallmarks, or designs. Genuine Rolex models will have a "smooth" caseback, and are free of these engravings.

The rare exceptions to this are ladies' models (prior to the mid 1990's) which had "Original Rolex Design" or a similar variation thereof, engraved on the caseback in an arc fashion. Another exception is on the Sea-Dweller case backs which will have "ROLEX OYSTER ORIGINAL GAS ESCAPE VALVE" engraved around the outside of the caseback in an arc fashion.

The following note is added in his comments.

Quote - Please note, if your watch does arrive defective, we request that you do not open the watch attempting to fix the issue, as there will be a $55.00 restocking fee in the event that this happens. - Quote

In other words, Please don't open it or you will find out that the movement was made in China

Wow all. I have surely been put in my place. I sent him a message questioning the authenticity of his watches and asked how he can sell Daytona's so cheaply. Here is his response:

Quote - Do you know me? Do you know what kind of business I run? I am sellign 100% authentic Rolex watches and also am offering a 100% money back guarentee on all my watches. If you think they are fakes, or you do not like them then please by all means do not bid. It is people like you who make ebay difficult to deal with customers sometimes. Why would you even concern yourself with writing a message if you do not what them? Just because you have nothing better to do than cause problems with others. Have a great Easter weekend I really hope you have abetter day tomorrow. - Quote

I have his assurance that he is selling 100% genuine Rolex watches. God forbid that I should question someone's selling practices.

Another gentleman who is taking the proceeds and going to the huked on fonics cerse to lern to spel and get edumecated to go fer in lif.

Thank-you.

Yellow and white gold model Daytonas have the vertical numbers. SS and TT have the horizontal, smaller numbers.

I looked at the bidders. Interesting coincidence that the same bidder has bid on 4 of the 5 watches. Probably just another stolen account. The scammer figures he can coerce other bids on the item by starting the bidding with another stolen account. Other people are more willing to bid if someone else has bid.

That's great detective work. I didn't look that far in to the bidding. This guy needs to be put out of business.
