Grandfather's Watch

I got the watch below from my mother whose father died in a plane crash wearing this watch· I had it fully restored (although it had little damage). My grandfather died in 1968 so I suspect this is an early to mid 60's Seamaster but I am having trouble finding the exact model or dating it precisely. It did have a metal bracelet when I got it.

Can anyone give me a pointer please, or let me know where I can find the model number? Also, thoughts on waterproofness?

Thanks in advance.

The model reference and serial number are inside the watch. Take it to a watchmaker and had them open the back, then you'll know for certain. Dating and identifying these old Seamasters just from a few photos can be very difficult.

As Joe had already posted, you need to open up the case.
The model # is on the case back.
Once you have the model # you can check it here:

It looks to me to be a 14760 powered by a cal 562. Certainly an earlier 1960s rather than later sixties piece.

Could be another model number as there were a few of these models with minor dial variations, but as advised above the case number on the inner case back will reveal all.

The condition of the watch cosmetically is pretty good.

Cheers
