First Rolex Purchase

Looking to buy my first Rolex and have the possibility to pick this up.

Not actually sure of the name Ive seen these referred to as day/date or just day but it has neither......

Anyway Im sure to get a few laughs for not knowing the name but any help would be much appreciated.

To be honest with you, that may be an older semi bubbleback which is more of a collectors piece, not really a daily wearer type of watch although it can be, just harder to find parts etc...

If your new to buying a rolex look around & dont jump at the first thing you see. Look on the forum & read up on what to look for so you end up with something you love & will suit you for years to come. But if your in love with the watch in question, go for it.

Im not sure of value & its hard for me to even determine exactly what model it is with just the one photo so if im wrong about the model all apologies. It looks nice though, im sure one of the great people on here will be of more help

This is more likely a model in some collectors's box... not daily uses.

Acording to your picture, I assume this is a Rolex Oyster Perpeptual 14K in 1960s, using Cal 1560 Automatic Movement, size 33mm excluding the Rolex Crown.
