Looks like a Root Beer GMT to me....maybe with a newer 93150 bracelet....not sure how 'extremely rare' it is as they show up from time to time on the Sales Forum here.

You'd probably need to have more pics of it (lugs, case back, movement) for anyone to tell you any more about the watch.

Looks like a 1675 with a funky bezel. More photos would help.

For me it's a nice 1675 with long E dial and a fake bezel insert

"Extremely rare" is being used very loosely here. I would use that term for something like a tropical dial DRSD ;).

But I understand that if your local shop does not usually get vintage pieces then you were probably pleasantly surprised to see it. Not the best example of a rootbeer though.

X4--not rare at all--it is a 1675 with a funky bezel insert. Very rare is a 1955 Red GMT Master 6542 with original bakelite bezel insert.
I had to post this one--belongs to a collector in Italy--one of a few alive and mint!! Sure wish it was mine!!!

PS--It does not look like a Root Beer to me but a matte dial 1675.

so there were no small production run of 1675 rolex gmts that came exactly as the first picture? Can this be verified by the serial number? If somebody can verify this i will post the serial number.

David-
It is a good representation of the term very rare being used properly! It is one of a few of the 20 made in 1955 and in mint condition--looks like NOS! It is not mine--although I wish it was!! LOL

It is not even an early 1675--not a small production run either--it is a later non PCG matte dial with a funky bezel insert.

Rare??

RARE - the most abused term in the watch game. Due to Rolex production numbers very few are rare. Some are hard to find for sale in good condition.

1675 with matte dial & aftermarket insert. The rare thing is to find a jewelry store with vintage Rolex competency imho. M

How is the insert aftermarket? Looks like a nothing special thin font.

Dial is a later 70s matte - not a Long E. Unable to tell from photos if hands are correct or not. Pretty "yellowy" as opposed to pretty yellow.

Nothing rare - certainly not all original.

Post the first 4 digits of the serial # - I am guessing 5-7mil.

I am not a GMT expert but I see nothing unusual, except perhaps the overall combination which did not come that way from the factory.
