Vintage Link
I am new to the forum and rolexs, so if I missed an easy answer.
My grandfather recently handed down a vintage 1963 model 1803/8 18k watch with a 8385/8 18ky Sup Pres (55b) band. The model numbers are according to the paperwork rolex provided. I just received it back from a rolex service where they repaired the movement and performed a full service. I had requested the include a link for the band, as my wrist it larger than my grandfather's. Rolex informed me that the link are no longer made for this band and "offered" to sell me a new band for $14k. My question is, who are some reputable dealers where I can purchase a link to fit this band? Thanks Tony |

Btw, just checked the serial number online, looks like it was made in 1968, not 63.

Post a WTB add here in the WTB section or go to VRM site and post a WTB ad in their sales corner.
Someone should be able to respond- would need to repost every week or so but you should have some luck here or there. Post a pic of the watch!!'n |

We'll be careful on eBay president link is the hardest to tell if original. The second and third link seem to need refinishing they are not in great condition. Secondly links for 1803,18038 and 18238 are not the same although they all will fit. The link got more solid ( heavier) over the years. Go for the first link you provided they seem in better condition.
