Advice on a DJ 6103?

Dear All

My first post here. I hope I can ask for advice/input on a DateJust that I have been offered?

Im told 1966 serviced last year but no box, papers or paperwork from the service. Movement apparently clean and looking good, but no pics.

Many thanks and any advice or comments gratefully received. First vintage Rolex purchase so don't want to make a big mistake!!

best wishes
Paul

Looks ok, but nothing special really. I'd keep looking for a more attractive example. Here's my 1603 from the same year.

Thank you both - sorry about the typo!
I have asked for some further close ups of the dial as I was a bit worried about its condition. Will see what they look like and perhaps pass this time.
thanks again

Price is high, especially for the condition.

thank you gents.
Can I ask what an expected guide price for a 1603 in reasonable condition, with lime still on the plots etc, might be?

thanks again for your expertise and help!

UK Rolex prices are among the highest in the world, and your price mentioned is not too bad for a nice DJ.....just not that one.

Lol! Thanks. Interestingly the watch no longer available upon request for close up pictures of the dial. So the search continues.

Best wishes and thanks again.

No problem. You did well to avoid that one.

thanks!

Can I impose and also show another (this a 16030) that I have found this afternoon?

Essentially similar price to the last, but looks a much better proposition. The acrylic needs a good polish (?) to remove the scratches, but the case, movement, dial are ok?

thanks again in anticipation....
